About Studio Peloton

Studio Peloton is a small, independent bike studio in Rotterdam. I focus on vintage road bikes, classic steel racers and 90s MTB frames turned into urban builds. Every bike is handpicked, restored and rebuilt with care, with a simple mission: bring real character back into cycling by restoring and upcycling steel bikes, keeping more people riding while giving old frames a new life.

The idea behind Studio Peloton

I started Studio Peloton because I kept finding beautiful old steel bikes that were too good to ignore. Frames with great lines, interesting details and proper craftsmanship, but often forgotten in a shed or sold as “old junk”. Instead of letting them disappear, I wanted to rebuild them into something people actually want to ride again, or proudly display at home.

For me, a good bike is not just a product. It is a mix of history, function and feeling. That is why I focus on character, not mass production. No factory-made clones, but unique steel bikes that stand out on the road and look great on your wall.

What you will find here

Studio Peloton is built around a small, curated selection:

  • Vintage road bikes and retro steel racers
  • Urban builds based on 90s MTB frames
  • Selected parts for your own project
  • Wall mounts and display options
  • Custom steel builds

Every bike is put together with the same idea in mind: it has to ride well, look good and feel special.

How a bike becomes a Studio Peloton bike

  1. Finding the frame
I search for interesting steel frames and complete bikes, often from the 70s, 80s and 90s. I look at geometry, tubing, details and overall potential.
  2. Stripping and checking
The bike is taken apart, cleaned and checked. Worn parts are replaced, bearings are inspected and the frame is checked for damage.
  3. Choosing the direction
Some bikes stay close to their original race heritage. Others become urban builds or restomods with modern touches. The frame decides a lot.
  4. Rebuild and service
The bike is rebuilt with a mix of original parts and quality upgrades. Everything is adjusted, aligned and fully serviced.
  5. Ready to ride
Only when it rides like it should, it goes up for sale. The goal is always the same: a bike you actually want to take out for a ride the moment you see it.

Why vintage steel

Vintage steel bikes have something modern bikes often miss. They are repairable, built to last and have a certain feel on the road that is hard to copy. They also age well. A scratched steel frame can be rebuilt and loved again. A broken carbon frame usually ends up as waste.

By restoring and upcycling older steel bikes, Studio Peloton supports a more sustainable way of cycling. Reuse, repair and careful rebuilding instead of throwing things away and buying new.

About me

I am not a big company. Studio Peloton is a one person workshop built around my own obsession with bikes. I ride what I build, test ideas on my own bikes and only sell builds I would be happy to keep myself.

That means honest advice, small numbers and a lot of attention to detail. If something does not feel right, it does not leave the workshop.

Custom builds

If you have a frame you love, a rough idea in your head or a specific kind of steel bike you are searching for, we can build something together. That might be a subtle restoration, a modernised vintage road bike or a complete 90s MTB restomod turned into an urban daily.

You bring your ideas, style and budget. I bring frames, parts, tools and time.
